Travel Palace
The Travel Palace is how you look once you leave familiar ground: relocation, going out, and the version of you other people meet first. It does not point to a city.

What this palace is for
Life is the inner start. Travel is the outer setting. They face each other and have to be read together.
It does not require a move. It says which conditions get louder when the setting changes.
How to find it on a chart
Once the Life Palace is set, this site lays the names around the branch ring in this order: Life, Siblings, Spouse, Children, Wealth, Health, Travel, Friends, Career, Property, Fortune, Parents, and back to Life. The branch cells stay put. The names move. Travel comes after Health and sits directly opposite Life.
“The opposite of Life” and “the Travel Palace” are two names for the same cell.
How to read it
Read how the major star describes the outer setting. When Life has no major star, readers borrow this palace. Say “borrowed from Travel”. Do not pretend the star was born in Life.
Spouse and Fortune are the trine. Going out, relationship, and inner ease often belong in the same set.
Which palaces to read with it
Life is the opposite. Spouse and Fortune are the trine. The inner start, the outer setting, a long relationship, and whether something feels like enough are this set.
Property is in another set. Whether to move is not read from Travel alone. Where you settle is Property.
One sentence that stays on structure
“Travel holds this star, so this cell gets louder away from familiar ground; Life, opposite, is the way of starting; Spouse and Fortune are relationship and ease.”
Do not turn the star’s name into a city, a flight, or a departure date.
Common mistakes
- Using Travel to name a city to move to.
- Treating it as a lucky travel date.
- Reading Travel and skipping Life.

Open tool →Frequently asked questions
Do I skip Travel if I rarely travel?
No. It also includes the version of you other people meet in an outer setting. It is not limited to geography.
Does a strong Travel Palace mean you should move abroad?
The palace is not scored. It does not decide emigration and it does not name a country.
Why does an empty Life Palace look here?
Travel faces Life. When the self palace has no major star, the traditional reading borrows the opposite star and has to say that it is borrowed.
