What these numbers are
The life-path number reduces the year, month, and day of birth to a single digit, except that 11, 22, and 33 are kept. Birthday number is the day of the month, reduced the same way. Attitude number adds month and day.
Four pinnacles split the life into age bands used by this tool: birth to 27, 28 to 36, 37 to 45, and 46 onward. Each pinnacle has a challenge number. A challenge of 0 means that band has no extra subtraction in this method.
What fateshow calculates
The same date always yields the same digits under the published reduction. Personal years cycle from 1 through 9. The chart also lays the digits into its nine-cell grid. None of these steps consult an ephemeris, a timezone, or true solar time.
Another numerology book may reduce master numbers, or cut the pinnacle ages differently. Those are different algorithms. fateshow does not silently switch. If the method on the chart is not the method you meant to check, stop and do not blend the digits.
What it is not
It cannot recover an Ascendant, a BaZi hour pillar, or a Human Design type. A date-only system has nothing to say about those objects.
A life-path number is not a ranking and not a prediction of a calendar event. It is a reduced label for the date you entered.

Reduced numbers are a conditional label for a date. They are not medical, legal, or financial advice, and a personal year is not a promise about that year’s events.
Common mistakes
- Collapsing 11, 22, or 33 and then comparing the result with a chart that kept them.
- Asking a date-only number for an hour-sensitive placement.
- Treating the life path as a score of luck.

Do I need a birth time?
No. This tool ignores time and place. If your question depends on an hour, use a system that actually consumes one.
Why does another site show a different life path?
It may reduce master numbers, or add the digits in a different order. Compare the reduction rule, not just the final digit.
What is a challenge of 0?
In this method it means that age band has no separate challenge subtraction. It is not a blank life stage.
