What Vedic matchmaking is
It is the classical Indian marriage comparison (Ashtakoota, also called Guna Milan), built on two sidereal charts that are already cast, so both birth moments and places must be right. The decisive difference from Western synastry is the zodiac: Vedic uses the sidereal zodiac, which sits roughly 24° behind the tropical one — change the ayanamsa and every Moon sign and nakshatra moves, and so do the points.
What the chart contains
Six kutas and their points
Varna (1), Tara (3), Graha Maitri (5), Gana (6), Bhakoot (7) and Nadi (8), 30 points in total. Each kuta shows its evidence: both Moon signs, both nakshatras, the remainder of the nakshatra count, the sign lords and the nadi group.
Both Moons
The Moon sign, nakshatra and degree of each chart, listed exactly as computed. Every kuta above is derived from this line, so it is the first thing to verify.
Mars placement (Mangal dosha)
Whether Mars falls in houses 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 or 12, counted both from the Lagna and from the Moon. The placement is reported; no verdict is attached to it.
Calculation policy
The chart states which ayanamsa was used (Lahiri, KP, Raman and others), whether Rahu is mean or true, that houses are whole-sign, and which two kutas were left out and why.
How it is computed
1.Cast both sidereal charts
Each birth record is restored through its birthplace timezone to a UT instant, then shifted by the current ayanamsa into sidereal longitude — the same pipeline as the single Vedic chart.
2.Take the Moon sign and nakshatra
Varna, Graha Maitri and Bhakoot read the Moon sign; Tara, Gana and Nadi read the Moon nakshatra.
3.Judge each kuta from fixed tables
Rank comparison, the nakshatra count modulo 9, natural friendship between the sign lords, the three-way Gana and Nadi groupings, and the Moon-sign distance rules. All published fixed tables.
4.Score the six, but conclude nothing
The six values are added and shown with their evidence, but never converted into a percentage or a "compatible" verdict — the points are this system’s notation, not a judgment.
Chart timezone: each birth moment is restored through its own birthplace historical timezone (DST included) and then shifted by the chosen ayanamsa. Vedic matchmaking applies no true-solar-time correction; the Lagna comes straight from the UT instant and coordinates, exactly as in the single Vedic chart.
