What study and exam fortune means
It splits "how well will I do" into three questions — how you learn, where your strengths are, and what to watch in exams — then lays out the coming years on the same system. Each system reads it its own way: Zi Wei through the Life palace with 文昌/文曲, BaZi through 印星, 食伤 and the 文昌贵人, Western astrology through the 3rd and 9th houses with Mercury, Vedic through the Sukha, Putra and Dharma houses. The output is a set of cues, not a "you will pass in year X" promise, and it predicts no rank, score or admission result.
What each system reads
Zi Wei: Life palace, 文昌/文曲 and Career palace
The Life palace stars set the learning colour: 天机 researches, 太阳 remembers by explaining, 武曲 works by discipline, 太阴 accumulates slowly, 破军 skews lopsided. The literary stars 文昌 and 文曲 landing on the Life, Career, Fortune or Parents palace are a positive sign for study talent; the Career palace sets how you score in an exam; of the transformations on the Life and Career palaces, Ke is a bonus and Ji means leaving time to re-check, with 擎羊/陀罗/火铃/空劫 marking risks.
BaZi: 印星, 食伤 and the 文昌贵人 star
印星 (direct/indirect resource) reads absorption, teachers and credentials, exposed or hidden deciding how visible the line is; 食伤 the ability to output and perform; 官杀 discipline, rules and exam pressure; day-master strength how much load you carry. The 文昌贵人 comes from a fixed table read from the day stem, and the pillar it lands on names the study stage.
Western astrology: 3rd, 9th houses and Mercury
The 3rd house (basic study, communication, learning style) sign and its ruler say how you learn; the 9th (higher education, studying away) whether to go higher and further; Mercury shows thinking and expression, Jupiter mentors and opportunity, Saturn pressure and delay. House rulers use the classical rulers, with the same house system as the other tools.
Vedic: the Sukha, Putra and Dharma houses
The 4th house (Sukha, basic education) sign sets the learning base, the 5th (Putra, intellect) sign and its ruler where the intelligence points, and the 9th (Dharma, higher study) ruler whether to go higher; Mercury (Budha) for thinking, Jupiter (Guru) for mentors, Saturn for pressure and delay. Whole-sign houses, sidereal zodiac.
How this reading is built
1.Pick one system
Zi Wei, BaZi, Western or Vedic astrology — only one runs at a time. The four read study differently, and blending them only dilutes each.
2.One birth record
Date (solar or lunar), exact birth time, birthplace and gender are entered once. True Solar Time is on by default; Western and Vedic astrology also need birthplace coordinates.
3.Read it that system’s way
Zi Wei takes the Life palace with 文昌/文曲, BaZi the 印星, 食伤 and 文昌贵人, Western astrology the 3rd and 9th houses with Mercury, Vedic the Sukha, Putra and Dharma houses — all landing in the same three blocks plus a short forward timeline.
4.Then let AI explain it
The AI reads only the whitelisted fields, never re-casts a chart, never predicts a rank, score or admission result, and never gives admissions or tutoring advice. It cites its evidence and takes follow-ups.
Calculation policy: timezone comes from the birthplace (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+8 for mainland China), with historical offsets and daylight saving restored. True Solar Time is on by default — it drives the BaZi day and hour pillars and, in some Zi Wei schools, the Life and Body palaces. Western and Vedic astrology do not use True Solar Time but require birthplace coordinates.
What the result shows
The result leads with the three blocks this system produced, then the evidence and the coming years.
- Three blocks: how you learn, your strengths, and what to watch in exams.
- Evidence: for Zi Wei the Life palace with 文昌/文曲, for BaZi the 印星, 食伤 and 文昌贵人, for Western astrology the 3rd and 9th houses with Mercury, for Vedic the Sukha, Putra and Dharma houses.
- A study timeline: the next few years as month-range windows with strength, the criteria and a "what to do" line.
- An AI reading that cites these fields and nothing else.
- A statement of the limits, including that it predicts no rank, score or admission.
Common questions
- What is this tool good for?
- It is good for questions like "how do I study more effectively", "which subjects suit me" and "which stretch should I push" — a research track or an exam track, and whether to consider going higher. It is not built for a specific rank, score, admission result or a year you will pass.
- Can I base an education decision on it?
- Not as the only input. It is a set of cues inside a traditional framework, useful for learning style and rhythm; a real education decision also rests on grades, interest, family and practical conditions. It is not educational, legal or financial advice.
- Will it tell me which school I will get into?
- No. None of the four systems predicts a school name, rank or admission result; they judge how you learn, where your strengths are, and which stretch is better for pushing. Everything shown is tendency and cue, not an admission promise.
- How is this different from Career Direction & Benefactors?
- That tool asks where to push and who helps — read from the career palace, the ten gods and the Midheaven. This one asks only about study: the Life palace, 文昌/文曲, 印星 and the 3rd/9th houses. They share the same systems and birth record, so you can read both and compare.
- What if the four systems disagree?
- They will, and that is expected — the four read study differently. Start with the one that fits best, or run them all and compare, rather than forcing a compromise answer.
