What BaZi matchmaking is
It is built on two charts that are already cast, so both birth dates and times must be right. A single chart shows how one life divides into four pillars and five elements; matching shows how the two sets relate — the most quoted line, "our day masters combine", is simply the stem relation between the two day pillars.
What the chart contains
Four pillars side by side
Year, month, day and hour pillars shown as stems and branches, each with its Ten God and nayin. The day branch is the spouse palace and carries the most weight in matchmaking.
Year and day branch relations
The year branches (animal signs) and the day branches are compared against the combination, harmony, opposition, harm and punishment rules. Pairs matching two rules list both.
Day masters and Ten Gods
Whether the two day-master stems combine, clash or are identical, plus the Ten God each day master sees in the other — computed in both directions.
Element complementarity
Hidden-stem weighted element counts give each person’s strongest and weakest element; complementarity means one side’s weakest is the other’s strongest. Both being short of the same element is not complementarity.
Nayin and peach blossom
The nayin relation between the two birth years, and the peach-blossom branch derived from each year branch — structural markers only, never verdicts.
How it is computed
1.Cast both charts
Each birth record is cast with its own historical timezone into four pillars, Ten Gods, hidden stems, nayin and element counts — the same pipeline as the single chart.
2.Compare layer by layer
Year and day branches against the branch table; day-master stems against the combination and clash tables; the Ten Gods table for both directions; nayin elements against generate/overcome.
3.Compute complementarity
The strongest and weakest elements come from the weighted counts (primary 1, middle 0.5, residual 0.3), and complementarity is judged against that definition.
4.Group into five themes
The six layers are grouped and counted. Everything is deterministic; nothing becomes a score.
Chart timezone: each birth time is cast with its own birthplace timezone (historical offsets and DST included) using the BaZi day-boundary rule; true solar time can be enabled per person, exactly as in the single chart.
