Relocation & Distance: whether to move, which way, and when

Relocation & Distance runs one system at a time: Zi Wei reads the Travel palace stars with the Life and Property palaces and the transformations, BaZi the 驿马 post-horse star and the pillar it sits on, Western astrology the 4th (home) and 9th (distance) houses, and Vedic the Sukha, Dharma and Vyaya houses — whether to move, which way, and when moving is smoother, read one way at a time.

RELOCATION

How you move, the traditional direction and what to watch — read by each system its own way

What relocation and distance means

It splits "should I move" into three questions — how you move, where the base is, and which direction to take — then lays out the coming years on the same system. Each system reads it its own way: Zi Wei through the Travel, Life and Property palaces, BaZi through the 驿马 star and its pillar, Western astrology through the 4th and 9th houses, Vedic through the Sukha, Dharma and Vyaya houses. The output is a set of cues, not a "you must move in year X" promise, and it names no specific city or country.

What each system reads

Zi Wei: Travel, Life and Property palaces

The Travel palace stars set the nature of the move: 天机 plans ahead, 武曲 moves for work and money, 天府 settles down, 破军 changes most of all; the palace branch gives a traditional direction (子 north, 午 south, 卯 east, 酉 west — a figure, not a city). The Life palace is what you carry with you, the Property palace how firm the base is; the transformations with 擎羊, 陀罗, 火铃 and 空劫 add gains and risks, and an empty palace borrows from the opposite one and says so.

BaZi: 驿马 and the pillar it sits on

The 驿马 post-horse star comes from a fixed table: 申子辰 → 寅, 寅午戌 → 申, 巳酉丑 → 亥, 亥卯未 → 巳. Which pillar it sits in marks the stage that carries movement (year the early years, month youth and work, day marriage, hour later life); the ten god beside it gives the reason (正官 for work, 正印 for study, 偏财 for opportunity). A clash means a forced move, a combination a pulled one.

Western astrology: the 4th and 9th houses

The 4th house (home and roots) sign and its ruler’s placement say what feels like home, and the 9th (distance, overseas, study) whether to go far. The Moon shows what settles you, Jupiter where distance opens up, Saturn what moving costs in delay and duty. House rulers use the classical rulers, with the same house system as the other tools.

Vedic: the Sukha, Dharma and Vyaya houses

The 4th house (Sukha Bhava, comfort) sign and its ruler say what feels like home, the 9th (Dharma Bhava, fortune) ruler where the pull outward comes from, and the 12th (Vyaya Bhava, loss and leaving) the overseas line and the cost of leaving. The Moon shows what settles you, with Jupiter and Saturn adding weight. Whole-sign houses, sidereal zodiac.

How this reading is built

  1. 1.Pick one system

Zi Wei, BaZi, Western or Vedic astrology — only one runs at a time. The four read movement differently, and blending them only dilutes each.

  2. 2.One birth record

Date (solar or lunar), exact birth time, birthplace and gender are entered once. True Solar Time is on by default; Western and Vedic astrology also need birthplace coordinates.

  3. 3.Read it that system’s way

Zi Wei takes the Travel, Life and Property palaces, BaZi the 驿马 star and its pillar, Western astrology the 4th and 9th houses, Vedic the Sukha, Dharma and Vyaya houses. All land in the same three blocks plus a short forward timeline.

  4. 4.Then let AI explain it

The AI reads only the whitelisted fields, never re-casts a chart, never names a city or country, and never gives visa or legal advice. It cites its evidence and takes follow-ups.

Calculation policy: timezone comes from the birthplace (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+8 for mainland China), with historical offsets and daylight saving restored. True Solar Time is on by default — it drives the BaZi day and hour pillars and, in some Zi Wei schools, the Life and Body palaces. Western and Vedic astrology do not use True Solar Time but require birthplace coordinates.

What the result shows

The result leads with the three blocks this system produced, then the evidence and the coming years.

  • Three blocks: how you move, the base and direction, and what to watch.
  • Evidence: for Zi Wei the Travel, Life and Property palaces, for BaZi the 驿马 and its pillar, for Western astrology the 4th and 9th houses with Jupiter and Saturn, for Vedic the Sukha, Dharma and Vyaya houses.
  • A relocation timeline: the next few years as month-range windows with strength, the criteria and a "what to do" line.
  • An AI reading that cites these fields and nothing else.
  • A statement of the limits, including that it names no specific city or country.

Common questions

What is this tool good for?
It is good for questions like "should I leave my birthplace", "which way should I go" and "which stretch is better for actually moving" — going elsewhere for work, changing city, or a long posting. It is not built for a specific city, country, address or a year you must move.
Can I base a moving or emigration decision on it?
Not as the only input. It is a set of cues inside a traditional framework, useful for the nature of the move and the direction; a real decision also rests on work, visas, family and practical conditions. It is not legal, immigration or financial advice.
Will it tell me which city to move to?
No. None of the four systems predicts a specific city or country; they judge how you move, which way, and which stretch is smoother. Any direction shown is a traditional figure (such as the branch of the Travel palace), a cue rather than an address.
How is this different from Career Direction & Benefactors?
That tool asks where to push and who helps — direction and people, read from the career palace, the ten gods and the Midheaven. This one asks only where you are: how you move, the base and direction, and the timing. They share the same systems and birth record, so you can read both and compare.
What if the four systems disagree?
They will, and that is expected — the four read movement differently. Start with the one that fits best, or run them all and compare, rather than forcing a compromise answer.
