Decade luck slices a life into spans. Each span brings one of the twelve palaces forward. The person is still the natal chart. A decade does not install a different person.

Which palace a decade brings forward

The engine prints the ages each span covers and which palace is the decade palace. Use those ages. Do not edit them from memory. A different year boundary or a different true-solar-time switch can move the start, so check the settings on that chart first.

Read the decade palace with its natal twin

A decade on Wealth does not throw away the natal chart and leave only Wealth. Write: these ten years bring Wealth forward; the natal Wealth stars remain the base; stars and transformations marked for the decade are the extra condition. Both clauses tell you what the original resource pattern is emphasising in this span.

One sentence for ten years

Illustration: the report says ages 32 to 41 are a Travel decade, and natal Travel holds the Sun. You can say: for this span the palace of going out and being seen is in front, and the base is still the Sun’s way of lighting other people first. It is not “these ten years are spent away,” and it is not “move house in a chosen year.” A decade does not pick a day for surgery or a contract.

  • Treating the natal chart as cancelled once a decade begins.
  • Editing the start and end ages from memory.
  • Using a decade to choose a surgery date or a signing date.

Frequently asked questions

Does each decade replace the personality?

No. What changes is which palace is brought forward. The natal stars in that palace remain.

The decade palace disagrees with the natal Life Palace. What then?

Keep both sentences. Life is still how things start. The decade palace is the domain that is louder in this span. Do not collapse them into one lucky or unlucky word.

Does gender change whether decades run forward or backward?

Traditional decade placement uses polarity and gender. Follow the direction and the ages the engine prints. Do not reverse the wheel yourself.
