The tendency of this star

Tian Ji’s tendency is to open the options and look again. Spending the window is the cost of that tendency, not a measure of intelligence.

It is not another name for Mercury. The calculations differ and do not swap.

Name the palace before the star

In Life, the comparing happens at the start: the options are open before the move. In Career, it happens in the public role: the place is not set and the plans are already many.

In Spouse it is weighing inside a relationship. Do not reuse the Life Palace sentence.

Check a shared palace before combining

When Tian Ji shares a palace with Tai Yin, comparison sits beside feeling and detail: more thought, less speech. If they do not share the cell, write them apart.

Do not treat a pattern name as a fact you have already checked. See whether the stars really share the palace or the trine.

Auxiliaries and si hua only change the condition

Wen Chang or Wen Qu in the same palace is often read as comparison landing on documents and expression. That is a scene the auxiliary adds. It does not replace Tian Ji.

Hua ji on Tian Ji is the palace where comparing does not stop. It is not “thinking too much, therefore failure”.

Does a lot of Tian Ji mean indecision?

It only says comparison can stretch. Whether someone cannot decide still depends on the palace and the neighboring stars.

Can Tian Ji read an exam?

It cannot read a score. A document scene, if the chart shows one, is only what an auxiliary marks.

How do I read it with Tian Liang?

First see whether they share a palace or only the trine. Combine them only in the same cell. A trine stays a related condition.
