A divisional chart redivides the same longitude
A divisional chart such as Navamsa is not another birth. It redivides the natal longitude into a finer cell. Without the natal degrees there is no divisional chart.

The degrees come from the same natal chart
Divisional planets are not a second observation. Change the natal degree and the divisional place follows. Pada and ayanamsa both affect the cut.
A divisional chart does not replace the natal houses
Write the natal sign and house first, then the cell in the divisional chart. Do not conclude from the divisional chart alone.
The Moon in Navamsa
Illustration: the natal Moon is in the second pada of a nakshatra, and Navamsa places it in another sign cell. Write that as a redivision of the same Moon, not a second Moon. It is not “the marriage is settled.”

Can a divisional chart show a marriage?
It is still a redivision of place. It does not decide whether a marriage happens. Matching is a separate chart of six kutas, maximum 30.
Is the lagna’s divisional place the same as the Moon’s?
No. Each uses its own longitude.
