What is being scored
Both people need a sidereal chart, so both times and places matter. The six kutas are Varna (1), Tara (3), Graha Maitri (5), Gana (6), Bhakoot (7), and Nadi (8). Their sum is 30. Each line keeps the evidence: the two Moon signs, the two nakshatras, the remainder of the nakshatra distance, the sign lords, and the Nadi group.
Classical Ashtakoota is often taught as eight kutas and 36 points. This tool calculates six and says so on the chart, including why the other two are absent. Do not add the missing points by hand and still call it this chart.
What else is printed
Mangal dosha is stated as a position fact: whether Mars falls in house 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, or 12, counted once from the ascendant and once from the Moon. The chart does not turn that fact into a prohibition.
Navamsa Moon signs are listed, including whether the two Moons share a D9 sign. The elemental relation of the two ascendants — generating, controlling, or the same — is also listed and is not part of the 30. The ayanamsa, the Rahu mode, and whole-sign houses stay on the result because they move the Moons.
What it is not
It is not a tool for business, friendship, or a new romance that is not a marriage question. Those scenes are not declared here.

No. The number shows which table rows matched. It does not issue a decision.

Anything that moves either Moon’s sign or nakshatra, especially the ayanamsa and the birth time used for the sidereal chart.
