Profile is the line of the personality Sun and the line of the design Sun, for example 3/5. It is two line numbers. It is not a personality score and not another name for type.

Two Suns, one line each

Personality comes first, design second. Lines run from 1 to 6. A printed 3/5 is those two Suns, not the lines of two arbitrary gates.

Profile does not change type

Type comes from channels and centers. Two Generators can be 3/5 and 1/3. Do not edit the type from the profile, or the line numbers from the type.

How to say 3/5

Illustration: the personality Sun is in line 3 and the design Sun is in line 5. Write profile 3/5. Tradition attaches wording to the lines. That wording does not cover the channels already printed. This is not an aptitude test.

Common mistakes

  • Treating profile as a blood type or a sun sign.
  • Editing the lines into a pair that sounds better.
  • Replacing the channels with the profile.

Is line 6 higher than line 1?

No. 1 through 6 are line numbers, not a ranking.

What if only one Sun line is known?

Profile needs both Suns. If a missing time or place leaves the chart incomplete, do not invent a line.

Do I say profile before authority?

Type and authority come from the channels. Profile is two other line numbers. Write all three. None replaces the others.
