What questions this chart can hold
The Western chart fits questions of place: which planet is in which sign and house, and which angle it makes. It does not schedule a day, and it does not replace a professional decision.

The question has to point at a degree
You can ask which house Mars occupies, whom it squares, and what the orb is. You cannot ask which weekday for surgery or whether to sign a contract.
A missing time or place stops the angles
Without an Ascendant, do not write houses. Do not estimate a city or a clock to fill the axis.
Turn a fortune question into a placement question
Illustration: “Will work go well this year?” becomes: which planets are in the tenth, and does the chart print an aspect to the Sun or the Midheaven? That is still not a promotion schedule.
Common mistakes
- Using the chart to decide a medical or legal action.
- Treating the sun sign as the whole chart.
- Calling one chart wrong because it sits a sign away from the Vedic chart.

Frequently asked questions
Can I read only the sun sign?
It can be the first planet you learn. It does not replace the Moon, the Ascendant, and the aspects.
Do different house systems contradict each other?
They are not errors. Name the system before you compare house numbers.
Can synastry replace the natal chart?
No. Synastry is the angles between two natal charts.
