Each card is a concrete image
Rider, Ship, House, Letter, Crossroads: the cards talk about people and things, messages, and roads. They are not the twelve signs, and they are not the tarot major arcana. Learn the image on a single card first. Lucky and unlucky are not printed on the face. One card alone is not a verdict on a life.
A sentence starts when two cards touch
The card on the right often modifies the one on the left, or the two name each other. Letter beside Ship can be read as news on the way, not as two unrelated personalities. Once the spread is drawn, it stays. Do not keep drawing until it looks welcome. There are no reversals. Do not turn a card upside down and invent a second layer.
Two cards, one sentence
Illustration: the draw is Rider and Garden. You can say: a message or an arrival, in a crowded place. It is not “the Rider is a particular man, and the Garden means social success is assured.” The images are parts of a sentence. This is not an identification of a person, and it is not a medical or legal conclusion.

- Turning a card upside down and inventing a reversal.
- Making one card a verdict on a life.
- Drawing until the spread looks welcome.

Can Lenormand and tarot be read as one deck?
No. The count, the lack of reversals, and the way neighbors make a sentence all differ. Do not import major-arcana readings.
Is a birth date required?
No. The cards are not chosen by a birth date or by the clock.
Do I memorise all 36 before reading?
Learn the images, then practice sentences with neighbors. Memorising lucky and unlucky words does not help, because that label is not on the single card.
